Member SNSD, si Black Pearl Yuri dipilih oleh Lee Hyori sebagai ‘female singers who will be able to secure a future in the music industry in the long run’. Ternyata yang dipilih oleh Hyori bukan cuma Yuri aja, tapi juga kaptennya 2NE1 yaitu CL.

Pada sebuah interview tanggal 13 April kemarin, Hyori ditanyakan dengan pertanyaan

‘Which girlgroup junior have caught your attention?’

Dan dia menjawab Yuri dan CL. Hyori onni bilang,

“The 2 of them will do well if they come out as solo singers.”

Mungkin kamu mau tau kenapa Hyori bisa milih Yuri dan CL, ternyata alasannya adalah :

“It’s like looking at myself in the past. When I saw So Nyeo Shi Dae’s concert, Yuri’s solo performance was the most impressionable for me. My solo performances during Fin.K.L concerts had also garnered much attention from the music industry. I see that Yuri will have great potential as a solo singer.”

Dan berbicara tentang CL, Lee Hyori bilang kalo dia adalah seseorang yang punya originalitas dan punya pesona yang susah ditemukan di Korea,

“She is someone who has the originality and charms which are hard to find in Korea. Rather than saying that she is a pretty and sexy singer, I anticipate that she will be able to make a big mark in the Kpop world with her great originality and rap capabilities.”

Selain itu, LHR juga membicarakan tentang girlgroup yang mendominasi dunia Kpop jaman sekarang. Menurut LHR, girlgroup sekarang sangat terlatih dan punya potensi yang bagus. Tapi karena mereka hanya mengikuti perintah yang diberikan oleh agensinya, maka girlgroup girlgroup itu jadi kekurangan kreativitas mereka. Menurut LHR lagi, mereka nggak bisa cuma berpikir menjadi seorang member di sebuah girlgroup, tapi mereka juga butuh berpikir untuk karir solo mereka dimasa depan

“The girlgroup juniors are very well trained and have good potential. But because they only follow the directions given by their agencies, they lack the creativity. You cannot just always think about being the member of a girlgroup, you need to prepare ahead for your future solo activities.”

Wew. Aku sependapat nih sama Hyori. Jangan sampe peraturan dan perintah yang terlalu ketat dari perusahaan mengurangi kreativitas mereka sebagai penyanyi. Girlbands jjang!!
